A CRY FROM THE HEART

September 8, 2015

“Where are you My people ?  Where is your heart?  Is your heart like Mine?”

“For few shall truly see Me, few shall truly hear Me. Even those who think they know Me, shall be by the way-side, for they have forsaken those I have sent to them, those whom I have clothed in clothes unrecognizable to them….if you have rejected them, you have rejected Me. Who of you will lay your life down for a friend?  Who is willing to extend himself beyond himself to reach out in love towards others?  So few…..Meditate on this My people.

Who of you will give your last piece of bread like the widow who gave to Elijah?  Do you not know that by doing this she gave her all ?  That she was like Me (a Jesus-type) as I gave My all on the cross?  Did I not provide to her more than enough after she gave her last to the prophet?  Why then are My people still clinging onto that what is so precious to them, and yet it actually belongs to Me ? For nothing is of your own, for it is I Who gives you power to get wealth, it is I who fed you in times of your own need, it is I who gave you revelations and gifts, and yet you make as if it is your own ? (Deut 8, 1 Cor 10 v 26, Rom 14 v 8).

Even if you speak in tongues, have all the prophetic power and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all the knowledge, and if you have faith so that you can remove mountains, and even if you give to the poor, but you have not love, you are nothing (1 Cor 13 v 2). If I Your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, you are under obligation to wash one another’s feet.  A servant is not greater than His Master, and no one who is sent is superior to the One who sent Him (Jn 13 v 14-16). Those who have put themselves on a pedestal must get off their high horn. For I have been given to you as an example (v 15). How will the world know if you are from Me?  You should love one another as I have loved you.  The world shall know that you are of Me if you love one another (v34,35).

Have I not said through Paul, that you are to pattern yourselves on Me ? (Eph 5).  Have I not said that you are to walk in love and that greediness must not even be named among you ?  I have called you to be sons of obedience and not disobedience. I have called you to be branded as My own (Eph 4 v 30), and yet you do not look like Me, or sound like Me ?  Have I not urged you to conform to My image, My nature, and that it requires a continuous transfiguration ?  (2 Cor 3 v 18).  Besides your heart, why is the sound that I hear coming from your mouths, not pleasing to Me ? I am the Word, and each of you who follows Me, is called to be a part of Me. My words have never been idol, therefore your words should also not be idol.  Every word I speak brings LIFE and LIGHT – let your words do the same.  A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver (Prov 25 v 11). And whoever falsely boasts of gifts (he does not give) is like clouds and wind without rain (v14).“

“Think like I do, do like I do, sound like I do – Your heart must be Me !”

Dear believer, I want to ask you today –  Are you a giver or a taker ?

Are you looking to yourself or are you looking to others through HIS eyes ?

Do you make promises to God that if and when He blesses you financially, you promise you’ll sow great amounts ?  How then my brother or sister are you going to do that if you cannot even give from your poverty ?  If you cannot even share a packet of meat or vegetables ? If you cannot give like the widow? If you cannot give like Jesus ? Unless you’ve learnt to give from your heart, from your poverty and not a fat pocket, your promises are in vain.  It is not the amount that counts, it’s the act of giving that shows the trueness of your heart. Do you even know that your brother has a need ?  Are you interested to even find out ?

We are urged in Heb 10 v 24 to give continuous care to watch over one another to stir up one another to love and to do helpful deeds and noble activities. As mature believers we are called to judge the tribes righteously and to judge in a disciplinary manner (Luk 22 v 30, 1 Cor 5 v 12,13), making sure that we are not guilty ourselves. Will we stand the test of obedience to His orders ? (2 Cor 2 v 9).  Let those then who have ears heed to what the Spirit says.

Love in Him
